Recommendations from Californians for Safety and Justice
In 2013, Californians for Safety and Justice surveyed Californians about their experiences with crime and opinions about victims’ services and criminal justice policy. The report of their findings, California Crime Victims’ Voices, includes recommendations based on the survey responses, including:
- More research on crime in California
- Reduced barriers—including language barriers—to victims’ services
- More outreach about the services available for victims
- Public policy that better conforms to what victims need and want
